In 2000, a new educational project was born, the Camilo José Cela University (UCJC), with a commitment to superior educational quality and with the clear aspiration to train young people capable of successfully facing the challenges that lie ahead.
UCJC is one of the youngest and most modern universities in the country, with a free, independent and open spirit, hence, it is the one that experienced the most development in the proportional number of students in the last decade, according to the National Institute of Statistics .
In its commitment to educational quality, the UCJC works to offer its students an education in which students feel motivated to learn and think freely, developing a critical capacity and to question what they have learned, under an ethical and humanistic framework. The University is committed to training professionals with an international spirit and a desire for knowledge. This commitment has recently been rewarded with the Madrid Excellent 2009 Award from the Community of Madrid for Customer Trust, in recognition of excellence in its management and quality system. To this is added the ISO 9001-2000 quality certification achieved in 2007. No university has accredited such an extensive scope in its certifications. In addition to this, in 2010, the UCJC obtained the National Sports Award for being the Spanish university that has most signaled in the promotion and promotion of sport.
UCJC today offers an extensive academic offer, more than forty official degrees, some of them exclusive, and more than one hundred and forty postgraduate degrees between officials and their own.
The University currently has 3 campuses in the Spanish capital and 2 university houses located in the central campus of the town of Madrid-Villafranca.
