Animals are beings that need as much care as humans, which is why they require medical attention in the same way that we do. Studying the Veterinary career implies committing to the animal world and its health from different areas, but always striving for its physical and emotional well-being.

Study Veterinary

In general, Veterinary Medicine is carried as a vocation throughout life. The people who enter to study this career are those who always had an affinity with animals, be it with domestic or wild species. It is a very complex career, since the number of species that are studied are innumerable, requiring that the student have a great ability to study, because he will spend a lot of time dedicating himself to both theory and practice.

The subsequent work field will not refer only to the care of animals, but the graduate may choose preventive medicine related to health prevention and epidemiological control of conditions that affect both men and animals or animal production, related to the production of different species in order to maximize efficiency and economic profitability ”, informs the coordinator of the Veterinary program.

“Being a Veterinarian has more favorable than unfavorable things, but it always depends on the field in which the professional works. In my case, I work in a Veterinary Clinic for pets, which gives me the pleasure of helping the pets grow up healthy, to heal them when they are not having a good time, but also to see them suffer and die. Transmitting bad news about your pet to a family is a very difficult situation, but over time I got used to it, in addition, the balance is found, since more animals leave the clinic healthy. I have colleagues who have decided to work in other areas, such as zoonoses, who also have specific problems. The important thing is to never stop being updated, since diseases in animals are like in men, with the difference that, due to the variety of species, they manifest in very different ways from each other ”, adds a professor of the degree.
